Hi, my names Alyssa. I'm 20 years old, turning 21 in August. I live in Brooklyn, New York. Born and raised! I'm not too fond of New York though, and I want to move to San Francisco after college. So, a little more about myself; I'm very curious, and I love learning. I'm always doing research. I like understanding how things work and I'm easily intrigued. I love art. It's my passion. I have loved drawing since I first picked up a pencil, and from that it just evolved to so much more. I love all kinds of art; just about anything that allows me to create. I love drawing. painting. sculpting. graphic design. photography. writing. singing. music. piano. I believe that if your good at something, you should expand and try something new. I am not at all a serious person. Life is too short to take seriously! I'm spontaneous, I love to travel, go to new places, and try new things (and new foods! lol). I don't like planning out my life like so many do. Plans tend to change and backfire, so I don't rely on them. Don't get me wrong, I have my priorities in order and I take my responsibilities seriously. I'm a college student currently going for my bachelors, and I don't plan to stop there. But there's a life outside of school and work and it should be lived. I've been on livejournal for a long time now, and I update regularly. If you want to add me, I will read and comment your journal. I also expect the same. Don't add me if you just want another name to add to your collection. Saw Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince today.
Super-Minor Spoilers follow, but suffice to say I felt it was the 2nd best film of the series, perhaps the best if you're a Harry Potter fan but not the best to stand on its own merits(that would be Curan's brilliant Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azakaban).

My name is Lykaios, I'm a 21 year old female. I'm a wolf therianthrope, I'm currently taking Reiki lessons, I'm a Pagan who has very Shamanic beliefs, I work with rocks, minerals, and fossils for their metaphysical properties, and I very much enjoy all things paranormal.
I'm here for friends, obviously. I'd like to add open minded people, we don't exactly have to have interests in common but it's always nice to find people who are almost as crazy as I am...if not moreso.
Other than that I'll add literally anyone, I'm not picky, I like to meet all sorts of people.

Hi! I'm Jamie. Not new to LJ, but most of my journal entries are private. Got bored with it, so I decided to find friends here who can actually comment and read my entries. I'm turning 18 in a few days, so I decided to do something drastic and so out of character. Thus the posting of this.
I'm a college student. Taking up Mathematics, majors in Actuarial Science. Sounds geekish, I know. But I'm not. On my good days. Even though it's totally unrelated to math, I do love art. Reading is my first love, but music comes in second. Although I don't produce them. I mean, I draw but nothing really serious. The only things I write are school notes [and of course blog entries], and I don't sing or play. But I love em all.
I love the works of John Grisham, but I read mostly local authors and online things [Fanfiction, wordpress], short stories, poems and such. Currently loving the music of Matt Nathanson, Matt White, Josh Kelley, Paolo Nutini, James Morrison, Howie Day, Jon Mclaughlin kinda folksy acoustic artists but not country. Incubus, Alesana, Mayday Parade, Amber Pacific Lifehouse plus the hundreds more bands I find online, I also love. I really don't like hiphop. I just had to say that.
I have lots of ideas and thoughts. Sometimes, the thought process stops in the brain, unfortunately. All the thoughts get stuck there and won't flow through my fingertips and on to my computer. I'm not very good with words. So don't expect overly poetic and long entries. Just some random thoughts, occasional reviews, and yes, I rant sometimes. Although I tend to delete them afterwards due to embarrassment. I try to update a few times a week, if I'm not busy with school. I comment when I can.
Let me just say, expect to encounter a strange sense of humor, a great curiosity, and an unusual train of thought.
And I'm nice. Really. Ok, I'll stop now. XD

Hello! I'm LJ, 25 years old from Manila, Philippines. I'm new to LiveJournal and also to blogging. My work involves a lot of IT. I work as a Systems Administrator. And I don't understand everything that I do in my job. Hehe. Well I'm supposed to be a Telecomms engineer however I ended up in IT.
I love Lady Gaga, but I won't wear the costumes. I love Chinese and Thai food, Japanese and Italian - err, actually I love any kind of food. Drinking Timmermans beer can make up for a very stressful day.
I'm starting to love blogging, as well as reading other journals of the other members. I hope I could make new friends here too. I'm actually a person you can easily talk to.
I don't do drugs and I love to learn so much more about writing. :-) |

Hey, I'm Lauren. I'm 18, female, and a huge, unashamed, nerdy fangirl who's really bad at making fandom friends D: I just feel awkward sometimes adding people out of the blue, so I figured I'd try a community specifically for friends!
Basically I'm looking for LJ friends who're interested in the same fandoms I am, and if this is the wrong community for it or there's communities specifically for that which I've managed to not notice, feel free to point me in the right direction.
Anyway, as far as fandoms go, here's a few:

Terminator: Salvation
Watchmen
CSI: Miami
Man vs. Wild
NASCAR
neopets
dragon cave
I also LOVE all things nintendo (I have a DSi and supernintendo, hoping to acquire a 64 soon) and play a few PC games as well (Zoo Tycoon mostly... I'll admit it).
I'm gonna be upfront about this - I love slash. And fanfic. Fanart and fanmixes and role play are great too. But when it comes to fandoms, I'm really open; I'm not one to get uppity if you like different things about a fandom than I do or try to push the things I like on you. If you don't like slash or fanfic or the pairings I like, it doesn't matter (though it'd be awesome if you did like those things!). The fandom we share is still awesome and I'd still love to be your friend so we can flail over it and have stuff to comment each other about. I just want to friend some people with the same interests. Trust me, I know how difficult it is to try and comment people when your interests just don't match up at all... it's much easier this way!
To prove that my life doesn't entirely revolve around fandom, I'm also really interested in tattoos (I have two planned that I want to get when I have the money) and I'm in the process of starting nursing school.
